The huge stage is set for the colorful opening of the
4th Kabaddi World Cup tournament in Bathinda town, where Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, Punjabi Singer Miss Pooja, Gippy Grewal, Sharry Mann are all set to perform during the beginning ceremony on 30th November, 2013. While 12 teams are participating in the men’s section and 8 teams in the women’s category. The prize money for men's team: 2 Crore for winner, Rs. 1 Crore for runners-Up and Rs. 51 Lakh for the 3rd position.
For Women's Team: 1 Crore for the winner, 51 Lakh for the runners-up and and Rs. 25 Lakh for the 3rd position. Men’s Section: India, Argentina, USA, England, Canada, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Iran, Denmark, Kenya, Scotland and Spain has given their consent to participate in the Kabaddi World Cup 2013.
In the women’s section India, USA, England, Denmark, Kenya, Pakistan (1st time to participate in the WCK), Mexico and New Zealand has given their consent to participate in KWC However, no decision has been taken on who will be performing at the closing ceremony in Ludhiana on 14th December 2013. Pakistan Punjab’s CM Shahbaz Sharif will visit Ludhiana city on Dec 14 for the closing ceremony of the WCK.
