If you are also facing problems with the built-in lightbox, do some basic troubleshooting to attempt to resolve the issue. They reported that full size images are now being displayed in a normal browser window, with the browser back arrow required to return to the blog post, they can not use "X" button which closes the overlay. In this short tutorial I will tell you how to solve the Lightbox display problem in your blogger blog.
Update*: Now, the blogger lightbox issue finally fixed by blogger team and it is working fine now!!! So you may take down the lightbox code mentioned in this post.

DeleteHi Gagan,
ReplyDeleteI have used the Lightbox fix script for my blog, It took me less then 10 seconds to make the change in the HTML and the Lightbox is working perfect now.
Just a quick question can there be any issue of any kind since I am adding a third party script src: "src='https://blogsdaddy.googlecode.com" and usually I am not in favor of adding third party scripts to my blogs HTML ?
I really appreciate you sharing this fix there are many people out there who are very grateful for the help with fixing this error.
Thanks
Aaron

Hello,
DeleteFirst of all thanks for your comment. This is not third party script. I found this code from my blogger blog's cached version. So, don't worry about it. Cheers :)

Hi, I noticed that in the lightbox feature, say it's pulling up the first of 20 images, it says "1 sur 20"...do you know why it's no longer in english for this label?

DeleteHello Gagan,
ReplyDeleteI am running two websites for which lightbox is already enabled but since lightbox was not working properly for quite a few days, images were showing in full size.
I tried your script but it didn't work. And even though, as you have mentioned in your last comment, Google has fixed the issue, images are still not showing up in an overlay What could be the possible workarounds?
It was major problem in lightbox of blogger. So, I think they are still working to solve this issue properly. You can remove our mentioned code.
DeleteI have tried and removed the aforementioned code, but i still can't see the lighbox overlay. I can see that it is working on your blog, but not on mine. If you can just take a look at my websites, and suggest me something, it would be really helpful of you.
DeleteHello,
DeletePlease leave your blog URL here. Tell me one thing, are you using blogger's default template or customization template?
Thanks for your reply.
DeleteI am actually using a third party template just like you have. The interesting thing is that initially when i started my blogs the lightbox was working, but then i made a couple of changes to add some widgets and theme specific customization and now the lightbox does not seem to work.
The problem is that i really don't know if any of the scripts is conflicting with the default lightbox from Google, or it is actually not working.
Have a look at my blogs - i have enabled lightbox from the settings. Hope you can find something.

Try to remove scripts from your blog, which are not much important. Or use another template. It will help you.
DeleteHi Gagan,
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem as the last enquirer above. The lightbox doesn't appear properly on my latest post, but it appears on the previous posts. I just tried the code you provided above, but nothing had changed. Here is my blog. Pls take a look and maybe give me some clues to revise this problem. Thanks for your attention.
Hello Jay,
DeleteBy default lightbox is working properly on blogger blogs as I have updated this post. But if you are using customize template then this problem can be occur. Please show me your blog URL here.
Thanks
Gagan
