Now you can send only 5 SMS per day for the next 15 days.Because Indian Government has banned more than 5 msgs per day. From 18th August 2012, till 1st of September, you would not be able to send 6th message from your mobile. TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has banned bulk SMS and MMS for Idea, Airtel, Aircel, Vodafone and Docomo.
It is really a bad news for youth (lovers and students). So now, no one will be able to send more than 5 SMSes in one day and more than 20 KB of data through mobile phones during the ban period.

When you will send 6th msg in one day you will get an below message :
"HI! YOU HAVE SENT 5 SMS TODAY. AS PER GOVT. GUIDELINES, YOU CAN,T SEND MORE OUTGOING PERSON TO PERSON SMS TODAY. YOUR SMS SERVICES WILL BE RESUMED POST MIDNIGHT."
Government of India was taken this action due to reports of widespread circulation of SMSes and MMSes containing misleading information about Assam violence, threats to people of northeastern origin living in other parts of the country and doctored videos.
I dont think why the govt want to give 5 sms. either they should block it completely or monitor the sms effectively to catch the culprit. Too bad.
ReplyDeleteWe can still use SMS Gateway options like wa2sms on smartphones to send and receive unlimited message. just best for smartphone users.
No, you can not send unlimited messages via Way2sms also, same process with waysms..

Way2SMS has stopped group Messaging completely during the Ban period.
You are also not allowed to Send "Future SMS" during these 15 days.
You may not receive any Mail alerts during the next 15 days.
That is reasonable in light of security situation. Are yomind? Nothing ios worth more than peace and security. People lived and survived without SMS fo ages and only 10 years ago, there was no SMS culture. Stop doing drama. Restrictions apply and is valid till security is ensured.
