Mention People In Your Blogger Blog Posts With Google+

After the successful response from Google+ Followers gadget for Blogger, Google released another fantastic update in Blogger interface. If you are using Blogger Platform for personal or business purpose writings, then you can add a link to a Google+ profile or page when you want to mention someone in a blog post.

It’s a great idea of fetching quick attention. It is clear that search giant Google is playing all its tricks to manage the Social Web, and Blogger is representative for their promotion because millions of bloggers are using it.

Now you can add a link to a Google+ profile or page when you want to mention someone in a post. If you then share your post from Blogger to Google+, we make it easier to notify your mentions by including them in the sharebox.

A blogger can use this feature on the writing time in the Blogger Post Editor. This feature will send notifications to the mentioned Google+ user. You can drive more traffic to your blog or website with the help of this new feature. If you will start tagging unwanted personalities then it would be considered as Spam by Google.

How to Mention People In Your Blogger Posts With Google+

To mention someone, first of all just type “+” in the blogger post editor and then type Google+ user's name. For Example, whenever a blogger would write +Blogs Daddy - A Technology Blog in the blogger post editor it would display list of pages or profile names that are related to “BlogsDaddy”. When, your blog readers will go on tagged Google+ page or profile it will display a Google+'s Profile Hovercards with an “Add to circle” button. If users click the link they will redirect to Google+ profile or page.

Disadvantage

In order to use this new feature a blogger should connect their Google+ profile with Blogger. This is a only limitation of this new feature added in blogger interface.
